Budavar Guesthouse
Location
Budavar Guesthouse is situated at the entrance of the Buda Castle – which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list – on a quiet street, in close vicinity of Hotel Hilton. Getting to the Fishermen’s Bastion and the beautiful Matthias Church from the guesthouse takes only 2 minutes, all the attractions of the Castle District can be approached with a short walk, without using public transportation. You can easily get to the guesthouse due to the excellent public transportation service, you can use either the bus #16 (from Deak Ferenc Square till the bus stop at Donat street) or the subway #2 (till the stop of Batthyany Square). The Mammut Shopping Mall stands quite close to the guesthouse (at Moszkva Square), where numerous shopping and entertainment possibilities await visitors, while at the market next to the shopping mall fresh vegetables and fruits can be purchased. One can get to Batthyany Square by the Franklin Stairway, where a number of vegetarian and Hungarian restaurants, cafés, shops and banks can be found. The Danube is quite close to the guesthouse to offer pleasurable walks. You can take a nice journey to the town of Szentendre or Visegrad either by boat or by suburban train (called HEV). The Lukacs Bath is an ideal choice for those who are looking for recreational possibilities, the thermal bath can be approached by bus (#60 or #86) or by suburban train (from the stop at Batthyany Square).

The guesthouse opened its doors in 2000, it proves to be an excellent choice for those who like cosy pensions. The rooms have a beautiful view of the Parliament (on the Pest side), the Danube, moreover the Fishermen’s Bastion and the Matthias Church (on the Buda side). Buffet breakfast is served at the breakfast room between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. The staff happily assist you in finding the most suitable program for you (e.g. ticket reservation for folklore programs, light opera, organ concert, sightseeing tours).
Rooms
The comfortably furnished spacious and bright rooms are pervaded by friendly athmosphere. All rooms are equipped with bathroom, toilet and television. Two rooms on the top floor are suitable especially for friends and families of 4 members. A shared bathroom and a separated toilet belong to the two rooms. During the summer season, ceiling fans cool the rooms.
