City Hotel Pilvax *** is situated on the Pest side of the Hungarian capital, on a quiet and romantic street of the downtown. Due to its central location, the pedestrian precinct, the Vaci utca and all the central attractions can be approached with a few-minute walk. Several cafés, restaurants, shops and entertainment facilities can be found nearby. One can get to the other districts by means of public transportation (subway and bus stations 200 metres away).

The hotel’s building was erected in 1925. The two-storey hotel is pervaded by historic atmosphere, the services include 24-hour reception, safe and Internet access (available at the reception). The building is not equipped with an elevator as a result of its art relic style. Guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in a public car park, the hotel cannot provide private parking. The Pilvax Restaurant – the former Pilvax Café – has served as the scene of important events from the Hungarian history. The menu contains traditional Hungarian and international meals, as well as specialities of the modern cuisine. Guests can enjoy live gipsy music while dining. During the summer an intimate terrace is also available. The restaurant and the section rooms are suitable for conferences, business and family occassions (technical equipment is provided upon request).
