The prestigious Danubius Hotel Gellert **** is located in picturesque surroundings, at the foot of the Gellert Hill. The hotel stands on the Buda side, by the River Danube, at the bridgehead of the Liberty Bridge. The five-storey hotel was reconstructed from the former Hotel Szent Gellert, built in 1918 in Secession style. The elegant, traditional hotel provides a wide choice of wellness and medical services, guarded parking lot, wireless Internet access (in the lobby), 24-hour reception, program organising service and giftshop. In the Panorama Restaurant international and Hungarian specialities are served, different programs, gastronomic festivals are held all year round and during the summer season (on Saturdays) gypsy music and folclore show entertain tourists. The restaurant’s terrace offers a wonderful view of the Danube. At Gellert Brasserie guests can choose from a wide selection of beers, moreover international and Hungarian meals. The terrace is a popular place for formal and informal meetings, on summer Friday evenings music and dance shows promise entertainment. You can purchase home-made cakes, ice-creams at the Gellert Espresso. The Drinkbar is a pleasant place offering several different Hungarian and international drinks and cocktails. Pets welcome.

Rooms

The rooms represent the hotel’s classical style and characteristics, their equipment includes a bathroom (with bathtub or shower), hairdryer, bathrobes, television (Hungarian, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and French satellite channels, Pay TV too), radio and minibar, the floors are parquetted or carpetted. The Small Single Rooms with shower (13 sqm) and the Single Rooms with bath (20-24 sqm) overlook the inner courtyard or the bath. Double Rooms facing courtyard (30-35 sqm) are also available, these rooms can be booked for sole use, as well. The Double Rooms with view (30-35 sqm) provide a superb view of the Danube or the Gellert Hill, they can be reserved for 1 or 2 persons, but extra beds are also available. Refurbished Double Rooms with view (30-35 sqm) face the Danube, the equipment is completed by safe, extra beds are avaialble. Suites (60 sqm) can accommodate maximum four persons (with extra beds added), they are ideal for families. Nonsmoking rooms and rooms with wireless Internet access can be requested. Room service is available between 6:00 am and 22:00 pm.

Medical Services

The famous bath complex of the Gellert Bath is directly connected to the hotel. Hotel guests can use the swimming pool, thermal pool, sauna and steam bath free of charge. The pool and the spa are based on the utilisation of the Gellert Hill's mineral hot springs, it is suitable for regeneration and recreation, moreover for curing rheumatism (rheumatic and muscular-skeletal disorders), chronic degenerative joint and spine diseases. At the medical section diagnostics, balneotherapy, electrotherapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, inhalation, mud treatment, medical massages and dentistry are available.

The hotel provides several section and conference rooms for family or business events of 20-240 participants. Most rooms have natural daylight.
