Fortuna Boat Hotel*** lies at Margaret Bridge on the Pest side of the capital, opposite the beautiful Margaret Island. A few minutes walk near the Danube will take you to Jaszai Mari Square from where you can easily reach all attractions of the city with trams no. 2, 4 or 6. The Nyugati Train Station and the Westend City Center (Central Europe’s largest shopping mall) are also within close proximity.

The boat was built in 1967 and originally it operated as a vacation boat. In 2000 it was fully reconstructed to a well-appointed, two-storey, air-conditioned boat hotel and since then the hotel awaits its guests with 24-hour reception and parking on the quay. The Lord Nelson Restaurant is a perfect venue for business meetings, a romantic dinner or even a wedding. On the menu you can find specialties from the Hungarian and the international cuisines as well as great wines of all Hungarian wine regions. In the summer time the hotel’s grill terrace is a popular place for recreation. Guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube and the Margaret Island from the terrace. The conference room can accommodate up to 130 persons (technical equipment is also available). Pets are not allowed. The hotel is non-smoking.

Rooms

Fortuna Boat Hotel*** ensures a unique experience. Each room has been named after a famous sailor or pirate. The amenities of the rooms include a bathroom with shower, television, telephone and minibar. Apartments and superior rooms have the same facilities as standard rooms but they are more spacious which makes them suitable for max. 4 persons (baby-cot is available on request). Apartments are divided into a bedroom and a living room. Room service is available. The windows of the rooms cannot be opened due to the boat character of the hotel. All rooms are non-smoking. From February 2008 the hotel awaits guests with beautifully refurbished, modern rooms, which are equipped with LCD television.
