Our guest can admire the panoramic view of full Pest side, that enchant everybody regardless the time of day The Halászbástya Restaurant is not just a restaurant, but an atmosphere, an expression of feeling which is much more complicated to describe than to try out and become a party to the miracle.
Approach
Guests choosing to drive may park at a discounted rate in the garage of the Hilton hotel; alternatively, they may park on Hunyadi ut and take our passenger lift to the restaurant.
By taxi: disembark on the left side of the Matthias church, at the steps of the restaurant.
By public transportation: take bus no. 16 either from Moszkva ter or Deak ter, getting off at the Szentharomsag ter (Matthias Church) stop. Or, take the Buda Castle Funicular, whose stop is approximately a ten-minute walk from the restaurant
Restaurant and Terraces
The Halaszbastya Restaurant welcomes its guests in winter and summer in its variety of rooms. The Fine Dining Restaurant operates all year round where, depending on the arrangement, 72-90 people on two levels can comfortably be seated. The Knight's room is located on the ground floor, where a round table which can be expanded to accommodate from 10 to 20 people offers larger companies the possibility to dine; also in the Knight's room the opportunity is available for parties of two to consume a romantic dinner. In the loft area companies of four to six can separately enjoy our Restaurant’s services.
In winter the Margareta Terrace operates as a heated panoramic terrace and awaits our guests with hot drinks; in summer it welcomes our guests with ice cold refreshments.
The Halaszbastya Terrace awaits its guests from spring to autumn with cold and hot dishes, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Every afternoon a gypsy music. On our wine list 220 types of wine from all Hungarian wine regions and the neighbouring areas inhabited by Hungarians can be found, from which everyone can choose to complement our various dishes or to suit their mood.
The aim of our master chef, Zoltan Hammer, is the creation of “Hungarian Fine Dining” cuisine rooted in tradition. We strive to incorporate new and revised dishes to our selection, thus providing top quality.
Our food selection is renewed quarterly by using seasonal raw materials, which whenever possible originate from Hungarian producers.
