Location

The hotel is situated on a side street of the historic centre, only a few steps from the River Danube, the Liberty Bridge and the Central Market Hall. Getting to the famous Vaci utca and the National Museum takes only 10 minutes on foot. Due to the convenient public transportation possibilities, all parts of the city can be approached easily (subway station – at Kalvin Square – nearby).

The 150-year-old historic building of Hotel Kalvin Haz *** was renovated in 2007, during this process the stairway, the breakfast room, the reception and the guestrooms got a new look. The four-storey building dates back to the 19th century, elevator serves comfort. Parking possibilities are available in front of the hotel or in one of the multi-storey car parks of the neighbourhood. Free wireless Internet access in the lobby. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room, the café (between 8:00 am and 20:00 pm) offers international and Hungarian food, but you can spend a great time in the palinka cellar, too (between 14:00 pm and 23:00 pm). Pets welcome.

Rooms

The rooms are pervaded by antique atmosphere, they have the size of 20-30 sqm. All of them are equipped with a bathroom (shower or bathtub), television (Hungarian, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian satellite channels), telephone, minibar, Wifi Internet access and unique, antique furniture, the floors are parquetted. Hairdryer is available at the reception. Some rooms face the street, while others the courtyard, the letter rooms provide calmer surroundings. The rooms of the top floor are air-conditioned. The apartments are bigger than standard rooms (50 sqm), they have a living room and a bedroom. Rooms for the allergic and for non-smokers are available.
