Location

Mercure Budapest Nemzeti **** stands in the business and shopping quarter of the Hungarian capital, in the city center, close to the famous National Museum and the Museum of Applied Arts. Subway- (Blaha Lujza Square) and tram stops in front of the hotel. Reaching the pedestrian area takes only 5 minutes by subway.

The hotel building was constructed in 1896, it still preserves the atmosphere of the turn of the 20th century. In 1999 and 2000 a renovation took place, in 2005 the lobby was refurbished. The five-storey hotel (equipped with elevator) awaits guests 24 hours a day. Cars can be left in the public car park near the hotel (about 150 metres). In the lobby wireless Internet access is available (upon charge). The old-fashioned, elegant restaurant – run by the hotel – awaits guests between 11:00 am and 23:00 pm with delicacies of the international and the Hungarian cuisine. It is suitable for balls, weddings, meetings and business events of maximum 120 participants. A wide choice of drinks, coffee, ice cream and sandwich can be purchased in the lobby bar. Pets welcome (upon charge).

Rooms

The rooms have an avarage size (20 nm) and pretty furnishing. All of them are heat-sealed and equipped with a bathroom (mostly with bathtub), hairdryer, air-conditioning, television (Hungarian, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish satellite channels, Pay TV), radio, minibar, safe (free of charge) and wall-to-wall carpet. Wireless Internet access is available upon charge in some rooms. Rooms for nonsmokers, the allergic (antiallergic bedding) and the disabled can be requested. Room service between 7:00 am and 22:00 pm. The Mercure Business Club room is suitable for businessmen. These double-bedded rooms were created for sole use, they have the facilities of a minibar (with free consumption of non-alcoholic drinks), coffee and tea making (free of charge). Guests staying in the room can park in the garage free of charge, get a discounted admission to the wellness section, coffee is served during breakfast time.

Meeting rooms are equipped with flipchart, overhead projector, television, screen, microphone, projector, video, loudspeakers and telephone. The Conference Room (60 sqm) is suitable for 70 persons, air-conditioned, it can be approached through the restaurant or the lobby. The Hunter’s Room (39 sqm) can seat 30 persons, airconditioned, the door opens from the restaurant. The Hunter’s Room has natural daylight, too, while the other only artificial lightening, total darkness is possible.
