In Summer there’s a ferry from Tarbet to Rowardennan. Tarbet’s on the W shore of Loch Lomond and is accessible by train (the line from Glasgow to Fort William) or by bus. Your nearest access by public transport is the bus to Balmaha, or the somewhat larger but further away, Drymen.
