What is a garif?
The garif are a humanoid race from Final Fantasy XII, who live in tribes scattered over the Bancour Region of Ivalice. The only tribe encountered by the player is located in the village of Jahara.
Where is the Garif geomancer?
Travel to Jahara and search for Geomancer Yugelu in the Lull of the Land. He is seated on the right hand side when you enter. He will offer to “guide you to the depths of the Henne Mines” where a great power lies sleeping. In actuality, he will be sending a Garif Warrior to open the way for you.

To get Access to Henne Mines deep you have to complete “Mindflayer (rank IV)” mission (look in “Ordinary hunt notices” part) for Centurio clan and get at least 10 espers. Then talk to Geomancer from Jahra. This location is important, because you can find the strongest esper here – Zodiark.
How do I get to Ozmone Plain?
The Ozmone Plain is located just to the south of the Giza Plains, and are only accessible at first by land during Giza’s rainy season or through the Zertinan Caverns. Entrances to Golmore Jungle and the Henne Mines can be found here. The village of the garif, Jahara, is located on the Ozmone Plain.
How do you beat Zodiark?
The player must beat Zodiark by casting preferably non-elemental magick. Scathe is the most powerful one, but takes a while to cast, so one might opt to using Shock or Scourge instead.
How do I get to Bur-Omisace?
If you go south through the Golmore Jungle, you’ll come to the Feywood. Stay along the eastern wall as you go south, and you can exit into the Paramina Rift. From there, just find your way to Bur-Omisace.
How do you find the Zodiac Spear age?
If you are playing The Zodiac Age, there are three methods to acquire it:
- Zodiac Spear method 1: There’s a 1% chance of the Zodiac Spear spawning in Henne Mines.
- Zodiac Spear method 2: Steal the Zodiac Spear from a Biding Mantis on Level 62 of the Trial mode.
- Zodiac Spear method 3: Earn 30 Trophies from the Hunt Club.
How do I get to Ozmone Plain from Henne Mines?
Save again, then talk to the Imperial soldier. Give him a potion, talk to him again and borrow his chocobo, then leave to the west. As you enter Field of Light Winds keep to your left and ride through the tall grass – the path is impassable on foot – and you’ll reach the entrance to Henne Mines.
Is Zodiark a primal?
Zodiark, the first primal and the embodiment of darkness, came into being when the Convocation of Fourteen sacrificed half of the planet Etheirys’s population to summon a being to avert the impending Final Days that had befallen their world.
