What year did the Minn Kota Ulterra come out?
The new Ultrex and Ulterra trolling motors with Built-In Side Imaging will be available ship in early 2020.
What is the difference between Terrova and Ulterra?
As you know Terrova is the least expensive and the only difference between Terrova and Ulterra is the auto deploy/stow feature. They both have handheld remotes and electric foot pedals. I had a gen1 Terrova which was a great TM but upgraded to the Ulterra primarily for the improved SpotLock and Auto Deploy/Stow.
How many volts is a Minn Kota Ulterra?
Ulterra is only available in 24- or 36-volt versions.
Does Minn Kota Ulterra have auto deploy?
AUTO STOW/DEPLOY & POWER TRIM Ulterra® is the only trolling motor that gives you push-button command from anywhere on the boat. Stow, deploy or trim the motor up and down by using the buttons on your i-Pilot® or i-Pilot Link™ remote, the foot pedal, or a Humminbird® fish finder. It’s instant. Effortless.
Does the Minn Kota Ulterra have side imaging?
Built-In MEGA Side Imaging is now available on select Minn Kota Ultrex and Ulterra trolling motors. This latest innovation from Minn Kota allows anglers to see the clearest, most precise images of structure and fish in real-time, both directly below and to either side of their boat!
How do you tell if a trolling motor is 12 or 24 volt?
The nameplates are most often found in the foot petals of the motor. Otherwise, you can look at the configuration of the trolling motor batteries to find the volts. Open the hood and look at the battery. If you see 6 cells, it’s a 12-volt battery, but if you see 12 cells, it means it’s a 24-volt battery.
How much does a Minn Kota Ulterra weigh?
The Ulterra series is the flagship motor from Minn Kota and a step up from the Terrova line of motors. While both models are available with i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link technology, only the Ulterra line offers Minn Kota’s proprietary Auto Stow/Deploy and Power Trim technology. The Ulterra is available in 80 lbs. or 112 lbs.
What is the difference between the Ultrex and Ulterra?
The foot pedal on the Ultrex is bigger than Ulterra’s, and because it’s cable-steer, it has to be kept on your front deck. You might have to install a recessed tray for it so it doesn’t get in the way. Ulterra’s electric-steer foot pedal has a lower profile and a much longer cable – 18 feet.
How much does an Ulterra weigh?
Can you test a trolling motor out of water?
Your motor is cooled by the water around it, while running it out of the water for a very short time would be OK, it would take a long time to drain the battery much running the motor out of the water with no load. Why risk damaging a very expensive TM to just drain the battery down.
Can you deploy Ulterra without remote?
The Ulterra Foot Pedal is dual function to allow you to control the motor without the remote. When the foot pedal is in “Ulterra” mode, the yellow LED light will be illuminated. In this state the foot pedal toe buttons can be used to auto stow and deploy the motor and control trim.
What size trolling motor do I need?
General rule of thumb: you need at least 2 lbs. of thrust for every 100 lbs. of fully-loaded boat weight (people and gear included). If things like wind or current are major factors where you fish, you’ll want a little extra thrust.
